iMedia inc. is a full service web development, technical consultant and interactive agency founded in 1985 as Interactive Media Associates and acquired in 2011 by Tihuma Digital Inc. The combined strength of these two companies brings together extensive abilities in web strategy and planning, site design and development, content management systems implementations, Web and mobile software programming and customization, interactive and social marketing, and hosting and support.
The three principals of iMedia, Joel Macaluso, John Huffstutler, and Chuck Titone, were all former executives of leading interactive agencies. Their focus is on providing cost effective solutions to businesses large and small. All work is performed in the US and each project is supervised by one of the three principals, ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
A brief history of iMedia includes the following milestones:
1985
- Founded by Len Muscarella as Interactive Media Associates to consult in online strategy and marketing to Fortune 1000 financial, publishing & telecom clients
1990-1995
- Expanded to help companies work with dominant consumer online services (Prodigy, AOL & CompuServe), creating interactive marketing and content strategies and applications
1995-2000s
- Transitioned business to the Internet – broadening services to include design, programming & hosting while remaining focused on communications, marketing & business applications expertise
2008
- Tihuma Digital, Inc., is founded by interactive executives Joel Macaluso, John Huffstutler, and Chuck Titone. The company’s work emphasizes the use of design and technology to deliver efficient, cost-effective and easily-maintainable online and mobile solutions
2009
- Untimely passing of iMedia founder, Len Muscarella. His widow, Sally Muscarella, takes the company reins until a worthy successor can be found.
2010
- Interactive Media Associates (IMA) is rebranded as iMedia inc., during the company's 25th anniversary year.
2011
- Tihuma Digital acquires iMedia. The new firm is based in Parsippany, NJ, and operates under the tradename iMedia inc.
