Senior Java Web Developer
IMA seeks an experienced Sr. Java Web Developer to take the lead on web development initiatives, including new and existing enterprise systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the VP of IT and will have a well rounded blend of web development experience and must be proficient in Java technologies, MVC architecture, as well as general web technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to work with sophisticated web technology in a rapidly growing agency.
This is a senior level role providing extensive freedom to innovate, and architect public facing eCommerce web solutions for various clients.
Needed Skills:
- 5 years of core java experience in the Web domain.
- Strong OO design capabilities, good knowledge of various design patterns.
- Excellent knowledge of JPA (Java Persistence Framework).
- Strong experience consuming web services, XML, and object serialization.
- 2 years experience with Springframework.
- 2 years experience with Velocity templates.
- Solid database experience in a SQL Server 2005 environment.
- CMS experience with Ektron or another CMS is a plus.
- Experience troubleshooting data issues, through SQL queries, using views, or writing stored procedures. Microsoft SQL Server, or MySql related experience.
- Solid deployment experience in deploying j2ee solutions.
- 2 years of Linux experience, working with the shell, deploying wars.
- Experience with any J2EE application server, Jboss, Weblogic, or Tomcat.
- Experience with Apache, and mod_jk.

- Extensive experience in all stages of a full development lifecycle from requirements, to deployment.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Work with and learn established enterprise java web framework and build enhancements to existing sites based on requirements.
- Envision, architect and implement new functionality, enhancements, and opportunities with the software.
- Architect and develop web based solutions based on requirements, design and systems.
- Support existing client list as needed and lead teams in new development efforts.

Needed Skills:

Web Site Support Specialist
IMA seeks an experienced Web Site Support Specialist. The successful candidate will have a well rounded blend of development experience and must want to learn new technologies in order to support a varied mix of Web sites deployed for IMA clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work with and learn sophisticated Web technology as well as making a major contribution to one of IMA’s chief goals of keeping our clients happy.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.
- Various programming backgrounds will be considered, but the focus will be on front end and light programming.
- HTML, CSS, Javascript skills a must. Ability to modify or create small Web sites from scratch, by hand coding.
- Experience in PHP, Java, C#, or ASP would be ideal.
- Database experience strongly desirable – including experience troubleshooting data issues through SQL queries, using views, or writing stored procedures. Microsoft SQL Server, or MySql related experience.
- Experience working with Dreamweaver, Contribute, Ektron or WordPress is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, take ownership of issues, and see them through to resolution.
- Must be comfortable asking questions and elevating issues as needed. Candidate will be able to escalate issues to a team of programmers who develop Web sites.
- Excellent ability to organize work, adjusting workload based on priority.
- Excellent ability to multitask in order to handle several customer issues at once.
- At least one year of technical support experience.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to all support phone calls and support tickets submitted via the Internet.
- Generate, update, and manage support tickets from entry to completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tier-1 questions and issues.
- Escalate support tickets to tier-2 and beyond as required.
- Create and update knowledge base articles.
- Refine support processes and procedures as needed.
- During light support volume, aid in the Web development of smaller projects.
