iMedia inc., an interactive agency with more than 25 years of digital marketing and online experience, today announced that it has launched a significant re-architecture to the Spotted Canary website, including major changes to its school, store, and creative gallery. Or, as the Spotted Canary blog commented, “We've remodeled the nest, and can't wait to share all of the changes.”
Spotted Canary is an EKSuccess Brands online craft community. EKSuccess Brands is a creative consumer products company focused on producing innovative products under well-known and trusted brands, such as K&Company, Jolee’s Boutique, Martha Stewart Crafts and more.
Previously, the highly popular classes that were on the website could be difficult to find. By creating a section devoted to them on the website, registered users are now one click away from School content, which includes both online and in-store classes, as well as updates to the hit TV show, Crafting at the Spotted Canary. Users can locate classes of particular interest in local stores, or enroll in online classes that they can take from the comfort of their own laptops.
An administrative section of the site allows prospective teachers to apply and provides current teachers the opportunity to manage their profiles and change information regarding their training, class schedules, and the stores they teach at.
The addition of an online Store allows users to purchase products from all of EKSuccess Brands. Projects created by the Spotted Canary design team link directly to available products so that – as the Spotted Canary blog states – “you can add them to your cart right when the inspiration hits you.” Users can shop according to a wide variety or criteria, including brand, product type, and theme.
The community aspect of Spotted Canary is particularly evident in the Creative Gallery, where projects are added daily and currently number in the thousands. iMedia updated the navigation and filters on each gallery page, making it much easier for users to find the right project to inspire them.
User comments on the Spotted Canary blog have been overwhelmingly positive. “So many exciting changes!” says Ellen, who finds it difficult to choose among the many classes available. Freya says: “Love being able to shop on the site now!” With this type of early feedback, it’s clear that the new and improved Spotted Canary site is poised for creative flight.
