“The Ektron All Stars are a great representation of all the different types of Web sites that can be built using Ektron’s Web content management platform,” stated Bill Rogers, chief executive officer at Ektron.
Launched in March 2009, IMA and the Abrams Books Web site uses Ektron together with the site’s title management system and the Able eCommerce system, allowing for daily updates of the more than 5,000 titles in the system. Through Ektron smart forms, titles are catalogued by subject, imprint, and title, as well as by release date. Imprint landing pages are organized to feature specific titles, which can be changed easily.
The site also includes special feature applications like view “inside of the book,” add books to wish lists, and the ability to pre-order not-yet-released titles.
IMA will be recognized, along with other award recipients, at Synergy, Ektron’s worldwide customer conference, in November 2009.
