Challenge:
How do you convince increasing numbers of affluent homeowners to include a mr.steam® steam shower as part of their next bathroom? After analyzing their target market, management decided to promote Steamtherapy® in a Web site focused on lifestyle articles and special features. But they did not want to abandon the product information, dealer locator, and other features of their existing, award-winning Web site. They also wanted much greater autonomy over their own changes.
Solution:
IMA designed and programmed a double-sided Web site that enables users to move from lifestyle to product content at the click of a button. The side dedicated to Steamtherapy® features articles, recipes, and quizzes that show people how steam can play a major part of their fitness, wellness, and stress relief. A streaming video illustrates how steam, color, music, and scent can work together for total relaxation.
The site was implemented using the Ektron content management solution for ease of maintenance and control. Quizzes, articles, and recipes are all controlled through smartforms, allowing editors to fill out specific fields to fill in the necessary content. Images and article indexes are handled through metadata fields.
Results:
An elegant, streamlined, and interactive site with strong appeal for the “Chief Purchasing Officer” – as mr.steam refers to the woman of the house. And a site that continues to provide the product details and market support that mr.steam’s channel had come to rely upon and expect.
