Social Media and Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Every year, during the month of October you may find yourself seeing more pink than usual. For those of you that are wondering why this is, it’s because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is an annual campaign to build awareness about Breast Cancer in order to one day find a cure.

We feel honored to have such close relationship to one of the biggest organizations fighting for the breast cancer community. Our client, Susan G. Komen, is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer by funding groundbreaking research, community health, and global advocacy programs.

This past July we were honored to be named Komen’s 2015 Agency Partner of the Year at their annual leadership conference. As the lead development agency, we helped launch the new a little over a year ago – just in time for the 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As a way to show our continued support, we will be donating in kind services to help Komen increase donations, spread awareness about Breast Cancer and share Komen’s mission to end breast cancer for good. Through the power of, they are able to:

  • Engage with current supporters
  • Reach a new audience of future supporters
  • Share heartfelt stories about the breast cancer journey
  • Support others in their fight against breast cancer
  • Educate followers on breast cancer facts and statistics
  • Encourage doctor visits for early detection
