With just about a year until technical support stops entirely, now is the time to start thinking through what you and your company should do if you’re on Kentico version 12 or below. There are two routes here:
Option 1: Stay on Kentico’s unsupported and outdated Portal Engine. Hotfixes for Kentico 12 have already ceased and finding developers in the future could prove to be difficult as the framework this version uses becomes more obsolete. This opens your site up to security vulnerabilities.
Option 2: Migrate to MVC and take advantage of all the benefits that come with it when you upgrade to Kentico v13. Not only is the new framework used here faster, but it is also future-proof.
