Leica Camera USA, a global manufacturer of top of the line image capturing devices and optics, sought to redesign its main website as well as a re-platform the eCommerce technology that it had been operating on.

The Challenge

Coming from a current state of poor performance and other digital issues, Leica Camera stepped away from its current eCommerce platform. BigCommerce was chosen as the new site platform for several reasons; namely the desire to operate proactively to drive a better user experience for its customers.

Thoughtful Design

Sticking to the iconic Leica brand guidelines, iMedia created a vivid design to foster brand awareness and conversion.


Utilizing a traditional eCommerce approach, iMedia rebuilt the Leica Camera online store with out-of-the-box tools available within the BigCommerce feature set.

Content Marketing Strategy

Beyond commerce, it was important that Leica also had its blog content incorporated into the site to support the brand and product line. iMedia integrated with Shogun, making the blog pages easy to create and optimize.

Time to Market

BigCommerce’s lighting fast, SaaS based platform is so easily customizable and flexible that iMedia was able to develop the site in 5 weeks.
