Viva Las Vegas! Another Great Conference While At the Sitecore Symposium

iMedia traveled to Las Vegas for the 2014 Sitecore Symposium from September 8th- 10th. The three day conference located at the Aria Resort, was packed with informative sessions and keynotes discussing topics including new Sitecore features, digital marketing, and commerce. The conference was separated into three breakout tracks.
  • The Developer Track: Dedicated to help software developers learn new tips and tricks for the Sitecore platform. Learning from the people that know Sitecore the best, Sitecore’s development team, explained new trends like harnessing big data to drive highly engaging customer experiences across online and offline channels.
  • The Product Track: Offered Sitecore customers and partners an inside look into what’s new at Sitecore. With information sessions and customer case studies, these sessions were a great opportunity for partners and customers to network and discuss how they are benefitting from Sitecore.
  • The Business Track: Intended for marketing, design, and SEO professionals, this track focused on the optimal way to build the best experience for visitors on the Sitecore platform. Conference attendees were able to gain a deeper understanding on how to maximize the business benefits of Sitecore.
One of the most memorable speakers from the conference was guest keynote, David Meerman Scott. His session “Real- time marketing to grow your business now” was incredibly captivating from start to finish. One of David’s main points were the importance of creating an engaging experience and relevant content for customers. He stressed how you can no longer plan marketing strategies suited to your company’s schedule, nowadays the buyers are in charge. To beat the competition you must engage quickly and know how to respond.

iMedia’s Chuck Titone shares, “The Sitecore Symposium 2014 was a very informative and enjoyable conference. The sessions especially, were very relevant to addressing many of the challenges our clients are facing. In addition to having the access into the engaging sessions, the conference provided the ability to network with Sitecore clients, partners and the Sitecore team.”

As one of the sponsors at the Sitecore Symposium, the iMedia logo was displayed prominently next to the conference registration booth.

iBrowse took this as an opportunity for a photo-op, along with many others over the course of 3 days. Conference attendees might have spotted him listening in on some of the sessions, networking alongside the iMedia team, or even relaxing by the pool before heading back to the airport.

The Sitecore Symposium was a great event full of learning and sharing with industry peers, and iMedia is looking forward to what’s in store for next year’s conference.
